Choose any of the services listed below or select one of our maintenance packages that is right for you and saves you money

Draining and Refilling

Nearly every hot tub manufacturer recommends draining and refilling your spa 3-4 times per year. Not following these recommendations may lead to

  • Unsanitary water conditions (to understand why, clickable link to fact)
  • Skin problems
  • Equipment deterioration
  • Potential voiding of warranty.

Draining a hot tub can take up to an hour. We bring special equipment to drain your hot tub water to any desired spot within 50’ away.   The refilling time is dependent on the homeowner’s water availability and pressure and can vary from 1 - 3 hours.

Suggestion: Because of the unknown length of time it takes to drain and refill the hot tub, it’s an hourly charge. We, therefore, recommend scheduling other services to be performed at the same time. By doing this, the technician can be working on your spa rather than just waiting for the water to drain or refill. This, more effective use of his time, will result in a savings for you. Please check out our maintenance packages to find the package that’s right for you.

Please note:Sanitizer and pH balancing must be done when the spa water is at a minimum of 80 °F. For this reason chemical balancing can not be done during a draining and refilling service.

If you don’t want to take the time to drain and refill your hot tub, call us for a free estimate to provide this necessary service.

Cleaning stagnant water lines

If your water lines haven’t been flushed and cleaned periodically they have bacteria trapped inside. This can cause an odor and unsanitary conditions. Call Us…we’ll provide a free estimate to clean and flush your spa’s water lines.

Detailing Acrylic shellDetailing the Acrylic Shell.

Detailing your spa shell is a 2 step process. First the shell is cleaned with a special cleaning agent that’s compatible with acrylic shell material. Next we hand buff the shell with a special wax that is water chemistry neutral and designed to enhance the beauty and luster of the spa shell.

Please note: The spa must be dry (drained) for this service. Hot Tub Service offers draining and refilling services included in maintenance packages if you don’t want to drain and refill the hot tub yourself.

Cleaning and replacing filters

Depending on usage, filters should be cleaned up to two times per month and replaced twice a year – this will keep your spa performing properly and your water clean. Hot Tub Service provides ongoing maintenance programs to come to your home and clean and replace filters. Call us for more information.

Reconditioing CoverCleaning and reconditioning Spa covers and pillows

Your spa pillows are above the waterline and capture water vapor. The water vapor contains bacteria and therefore the pillows need to be regularly cleaned with a sanitizer that is non-abrasive and compatible with the pillow material.

Covers are a necessary component of your hot tub and they are expensive to replace. To extend the life of your hot tub cover, regular cleaning and conditioning is needed. Care must be taken however to use the proper conditioning agents. Silicone based products are actually harmful and can accelerate cover deterioration. We use only products that are friendly to your cover and make available cleaners and replacement covers for almost every make and model. Call us for more information.

Spa InspectionComplete Spa Inspections

A full spa inspection takes about an hour – and it is the best way to ensure that your spa is operating properly. This is an ideal service if your spa is 3 years old or you purchased a new home with a spa installed. Spa inspections are typically scheduled with other services such ad draining and filling and they include:

  • O ring inspections on all plumbing unions to prevent leaks
  • Check heater gaskets and pump seals
  • GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupt) check connections to be sure electrical operation is safe for your family.
  • Overall check of equipment to be ensure proper operation.

Spa Closing Service

If you don’t plan on using your hot tub for an extended period of time you want to be sure it’s in top condition when you’re ready to use it again. Call HTS…we’ll close your spa properly no matter what climate you’re in because:

  • Bacteria can form and grow in un-drained lines and it will enter your spa water upon activation. This will cause a foul odor and is unhealthy. We provide a special formula for cleaning spa lines. Give us a call – it’s good for jetted bath tubs too!
  • Improper closing of your spa for the winter can have dire consequences. Cold  temperatures can crack manifolds, freeze plumbing and pumps and cause thousands of dollars of damage not covered by warranties.
  • And you’ll save energy as your spa uses more energy in Jan-Mar than all other months of the year combined.
